We have many exciting updates at our used appliance store here in the Gwinnett County area. The first year operating out of Doraville and Mechanicsville was very tough and was far from perfect as we discussed in our very first post. There was so much that we had to learn quickly and adjusting where we source these great deals was also a challenge. However, our store is now filled with so many great brands like Samsung, LG, and Frigidaire. We’re even expanding our line of microwaves which admittedly was in short supply when we started.
When we get more used appliances in our possession, every single one is cleaned outside on the premises inside and out and pressure washed several times to make sure it’s as clean as possible. Then before we sell them, we test them out ourselves to make sure there are no issues before selling. This was another challenge we had was streamlining this process to be more efficient. There was a point where we weren’t as involved in the day to day operations of the business, so our inventory stagnated for a while. Then there were customers that would suggest that we do a better job showcasing the prices of everything that we have.
Thankfully we were able to take your suggestions and apply them to our process. There’s still plenty to go in terms of where we want to be in the next six months, but the progress has been astounding.
Check out all the inventory that came in today as of August 13, 2023. It’s not ready for sale as we have to inspect each one, clean everything and then test each appliance out back. But this is how much we want to better serve the community as a family run business.
Here’s a front view of what just came in. You can see a lot of refrigerators, washer and dryers, and even some stovetops too. Below is what each looks like from the side.
This is the condition we purchase our stock, usually already working out of the box. There are instances where residents send us their old appliances that don’t work anymore and we do our best to fix them as well.
And then here’s a video of us pressure washing the inventory that we purchase and have outside.
As you can see, it’s a time intensive process but it’s one step we go through to keep our quality consistent. It was harder to do when we were out of town and did not buy a lot of new inventory for a while. Again, apologies to anyone who called us in the past and noticed that we were closed for a while. But we’re back and more committed than ever in providing better service all around!
If you’re interested in checking out what we sell, come to Suwanee Appliance Garage today! We started out in Suwanee, GA with a big warehouse but had to move to Doraville, GA to cut down on costs. But long term, we wish to expand and eventually have a location in Suwanee once again. This is the reality of running a small family run business but makes the growing pains we’ve experienced all worth it when we make a customer happy with what we sell. Thank you for checking up on us.
You can visit our store at 6486 Buford Hwy NE Unit 5, Doraville, GA. We are near Jimmy Carter Blvd and I-285. Give us a call at 781-656-3475 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for all your needs.
